Exclamation 2014 Recent Hot Wheels / MatchBox

    New Year, New Thread...........

Because I we may never own the 1/1 scale cars in real life, but the 1/64 scale versions sure are cool to find / collect ......

some of the recent ones I got yesterday. post up your recent finds!

shocking today I went back to my local super market while I was on break and they had new stuff. No TH items I seen 4 red camaros not s single one had those extra stripes. But I did find these...

not sure if I should open them or not I've opened all the others so far.

Found these older Superman Hotwheels while on vacation in Georgia, got them at a grocery store called Ingles? Really nice store BTW! I was about to buy them all for trade material but noticed they cost $2.48, so ended up just buying the Mustang. Now I kinda wish I had got those other cars to try and complete the set.

Are the shorty cards more desirable than the long ones? (Since it seems they are more rare)

Seems to be all the UK toys are the short type I've only seen the long ones for non-mainline cars

I'm in Canada this week (New Brunswick) and I see a mix of long and short cards. Nothing good though.

My store is still empty from the Christmas rush. There is 3 civics, and 4 AE86s.

I always see a decent mix of short and long cards in Windsor.

Went over to MI last week, there are always so many more available in stores over there.

I like checking out stores in other towns. Sometimes there are nice surprises.

My 5 y/o son found that one recently too. I had to look at it twice as he kept saying " daddy a treasure hunt, a treasure hunt!!"

To be really honest I checked ebay for the value of this guy almost as quickly as I posted the photos. I could get twice what I paid... barley seems worth it. I'm just going to keep it for the WTF factor.

just wondering whats the value of cars that clearly have some fault with them? My AE86 is only painted on one side the other is all white. I was going to use it as a base for a custom but if theirs something magical or rare about errors I might keep it as is

Some errors will bring more money if you resell, mostly if it is missing the tampo altogether. Also wheel variations can bring values up. But you can go crazy trying to keep up with them all. Only if its a car I really like will I shell out for wheel variations. I do believe there was also a clear wheel variation of that T-Hunt you posted.
