Awesome setup! You can relocate the expansion tank anywhere; does not need to be higher than the radiator really, as long as the feed tube goes on the bottom or is submerged.

Guess I'll have to poke around under there and figure it all out. This didn't come with a relocation bracket for the coolant bottle, but I can probably figure something out.

The filter needs a good soaking and recharge as well.

My vote would be ditching the OEM expansion tank and get a generic one. My personal favorite place would be inside the bumper, on the side of the radiator or in front of the wheel well

Well, you do not need to. The way the expansion tank works is simple. As coolant gets hot, it expands and goes to the tank (after a certain pressure is reached, dictated by the radiator cap). As the fluid cools, the valve in the radiator cap allows the fluid to re-enter the radiator. You only need to make sure you either have the line at the bottom of the tank, or if going in from the top, extend it inside the tank all the way to the bottom and keep it submerged so that the system can suck fluid back without sucking air.

Summit has this little neat generic catch can: http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...1472/overview/

Lots and lots on eBay as well!

    Hope I helped a bit!

I would like a strong stainless steel expansion tank where I can also mount my FM oil filter relocation. Any idea Harry?

TBH, no, but I will keep an eye. How do you plan on mounting the relocation kit?

I'm waiting for Adam's photos, as they are much better than what a cell can do. But, here's a shot of my "Tron" gauges...

Thanks Adam did a great job, as always. The color is a great icy blue in person. Plus I kept my high beam, and cel indicators functional, which I prefer to have.

Also, in other great news, The Transitional's ( my black Miata) shell has finally sold and gone away. I now my mom is happy to have pay of her yard back. I'm happy that the guy's going to build it into a real car.
