    Review: GarageStar Fender Brace

GarageStar released their fender braces last August, providing an alternative to Boss Frog's Frog Arms and Tuckin 99's fender brace. The company has been teasing us with pictures on Facebook with what looked to be pieces of a puzzle:

In reality, they turned out to be shiny brace mounts:

The brace itself is austere in design, the steel-tubing framework exudes utilitarian:

Installation was painless and took under an hour per side, which included the removal of the fender. The fitment is perfect, all the holes lined up with no problem. Just make sure to not overtighten anything, the stainless grade-8 hardware included CAN snap.

After tightening everything up and reinstalling the fenders, the car was tested on CA-99 in Sacramento, notorious for its noisy bumps and girders. A significant improvement in front end stability and noise, was perceptible. Before where the car would suffer from front end cowl shake, was replaced with just a barely noticeable thump as it was driven over the bumps. Turn-in was improved as well, as the steering response suddenly became more neutral and instantaneous. For the last three weeks since they have been installed, every drive is much more enjoyable, all thanks to these braces.

Much appreciation goes to Ken of GarageStar for making another solid, quality product.
