    Whilst on the topic of the new engine tech, I recently read somewhere that the next generation (or revision) of their SkyActiv engines were to be built with an 18:1 compression ratio and not use spark plugs

    If they pull that off then damn, that's a milestone
    If they put it into a Miata, they would probably tune it to 155 hp
