Figured some of you guys might be interested in how the Coupe was optioned/advertised in Japan since there is so much mystery about it here in the US.
Enjoy!

There is an OLD Road&Ster issue that shows you all the OEM parts you can order from Mazda Japan to fully convert your Roadster into a Coupe.

Now that would be really interesting....
Yeah, 1 NA coupe exists. It was a "styling exercise" and never made it into production.

Exactly what Martin said. BTW I think this is by far the best looking Miata coupe execution, including the ND RF, and that yellow is absolutely stunning!
Now, does anyone have the part numbers of the OEM NB coupe parts?
There's still a Red one for sale in Hong Kong, supposedly. The ads are still up on a few UK ad sites, notably Pistonheads. I bet they're strong performer's on a track which is a shame, the handful that were made will never see the light of day, nor get driven how they're supposed to.
If I had some spare change to waste on a once in a lifetime ownership, it'd be a coupe. I love old 911's as much as the next person, but ooft..
You want a good car. I want a good miata.

If someone were to recreate the metal structure and figure out a way to do it inexpensively enough, I could see a market for conversions.
It's like someone cut the back off of a miata and attached an mx-3. At least that's how my mind is picturing it.
I put on my welder's hat and gloves

I have an original dealer pamphlet for the NB Roadster Coupe too. There are two different ones for sale here in Japan that I would love to bring back to the USA with me, but our import laws suck. The yellow one (going for about $25K) is a Type A and the red one (going for about $33K) is a Type E - different packages.
