Thank you guys. Such a shame the car had gotten smashed. Im guessing thats the main reason for reverting it back to a stock front end though as it isnt as if he could just get the front end parts through his local Mazda dealer and have insurance pay for it. Id bet he was looking at a large personal cash payout to get the car back right and couldnt afford to do it right? Very sad to see such a unique car end up this way.

Sawyer, the reason we couldnt see your pics before was because we would have to sign in and be members of that other forum from where you were linking pics.

he said the insurance company is paying him everything. he is just reverting to the stock front because he didnt like to pitcrew and he wants to pocket the rest of the cash.

OK OK I get it now. Pics add a new dimension. I am now cringing at what can happen to fiberglass.

His $$, his problem. I for one loved most everthing, but that front end. Do not like "Italias" either. Call me a hater, I for one love the original fenders going back in.

I don't think the owner disliked it, so much as he saw an opportunity to get a cash back on his purchase price.

At least now the front end will match the rear end...I always felt like the rear of the Blue Potato needed something other than stock.

He wants a TRAP lip for the stock bumper. I actually have the blue taters old trap lip but I ran over a cat and cracked it. I remember how that made me feel, and am very glad I didn't buy this car.
