The only thing special about this car is the VIN plate that says the color code. Other than that, its a normal miata. It was wrecked, the engine was replaced, etc. the engine is not original, and the paint is not even original. This car is not worth more than the common junk miatas i see on CL.

I think in 30 years, the fact the the car was modified will hurt its value more than the fact that it was wrecked at one point. The paint and bodywork appears to have been done very well. There are plenty of very expensive, restored cars that have probably been in accidents at one point or another.

I saw pics of the wreck, as my friend Skip was the owner involved in the crash. It was bad, really bad.

I've said it before & I'll say it again: beautiful car, but reminds me of my late father's favorite hammer; it's had a new head and 3 new handles, but it's the best hammer he ever had!

Not even the original engine, according to this: http://www.miata.net/faq/colorcars.html

Orange you glad the price has been reduced over 70% of initial asking?

    $10k is still too high.
