Back at it on December 5.
Here's me trying to save a spin. Didn't.

Managed to put together a mostly-decent run for a top-ten...
Sanded off the crappy matte black paint and back to bare aluminum. It's not great, but I like it better than the matte black. Not sure what's next. It will do for now.

Took my skinny street tires to an autocross. (205 Hankook V12 Evos on 7.5 RPF1s) Managed to squeak out 12th overall versus guys on their regular a/x rubber (RE-71s, Z2 star specs and what have ya) so...

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like a philodendron, if you're talking about the plant right in front of the car. They grow very well down here in the FL.
On the brakes in the finish chute at our club's season finale. I would go on to take out a wall of cones and rip up some plastic under the right front bumper. It'l all zip-tied in place, but I'm...
Kinda agree here. Two whites, three grays, red and blue. Snore. Still want one of those catalogs.
Do want. Also, holy craps! Looks like they went back to steel control arms.
There's horsepower in them th'ar stickers. MT90 GL4 is the good stuff.
Welcome and be sure to post in the Silver/Gray NC thread when you have pics. Always looking for NC content around here.
I think Corbeau or OMP are your go-to for the cheapest FIA approved seat. Looking forward to your build.
I lol'd. Good one, Phat!
Edit: The more I think about it the more I like it. Made my day!
Too late. I painted it flat black last year. I'm going to have it returned to body color soon.
Back to stock. After a few years with the 320 mm Momo, it feels somewhat akin to driving a bus. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/361/19511828046_a2df11a80f_b.jpgUntitled by John Evans, on Flickr
This came in the mail last night. I know a stock steering wheel doesn't seem very exciting, but it's going to make me happy.

No doubt. He was prowling around on Facebook looking for used brake pads, but he's got the long change for this? I had to bust his chops.
I've been wanting to do this in the NC for some time. I figured I'd just piggyback the overhead cabin lamp and run wiring to stick-on strips underneath the dash for footwell lighting. Whenever the...
Nah, just a promise to continue rocking mazdaroadster.net decals. I always slap magnets on the doors at autocross and I have a very stealthy decal affixed to the top side of the diagonal on the roll...
What's "thanks given"?
Randy changed my user ID for me. All my old posts are still here under my new name. I was hoping to create less confusion instead of more confusion!
Changed my user name. I formerly posted as pass the peas. I'm not around here all that much, but I hope to be a little more active going forward.
I've autocrossed a 94 on Illuminas with stock springs and a racing beat bar. They work well. I have Koni yellows on my NC and they work well with the Flyin' Miata springs. Bilsteins are great, we...
Except for the used Enkeis I bought from a friend, I've bought all my wheels online. With my budget, Tire Rack has had the best deals on NC fitments.
By "my budget" I mean nothing too expensive....
My car went to an autocross without me. Here you can see the matte black hood. It's not my favorite look, but it will do until I can get it...
