Thanks! The decision became a lot easier when I realised I'd never use them in the state they were in :). The old/new combo has always intrigued me. Retro design element in the shape of the piece,...
Seems it wasn't actually a silicon based adhesive, but rather synthetic rubber based adhesive made by Cemadine. Thanks to an incredibly helpful Zoom Eng employee for that info. Link to the adhesive...
So in the absence of any guidance on the interwebs, I took things into my own hands. It's pretty obvious that to get to the corroded ball connector with threaded extension, I'd either have to break...
I've had a set of Zoom Carbon Side mirrors tucked away for a while. They're not in great condition with CF needing refinishing and the threaded connector lock nut between the base and mirror...
Awesome updates. Knowing the history is great.
Found.
I have a set that I'll ship. PM me an offer if you're still looking.

Thanks Harry, yes, I'll try to update the MSM thread with progress periodically. I'm not very good at that though.
An opportunity came up to get my hands on a '05 MSM and having too many cars already, one had to go. I took most of the good bits off the NA8 and have been selling them off to fund development of...
I do like the individual lens option that these allow. Thanks.
Thanks Harry. I'll have a look.
Not particular about which manufacturer. What do you have for sale?
Thanks Harry.
It sold new in New Zealand in late August 2005. I understand there were only six '05 models brought in new, but that's unverified and I'd guess some have made their way over from...

It certainly is. Wish I could say it was mine. I was concerned the 3D printed sleeve wouldn't be strong enough but it is.
Thanks Harry.
Done. I'm pretty happy with the way it all turned out.

Looking really good!
Manual regulators installed and glass fitted after installing the window glass weather strips. All lubed up with Shin-Etsu.
Butyl and vapour barrier installed. I cut two circular disks from 2mm...
Parts have all arrived and assembly to begin this weekend. Most I picked up locally but had to go to Maruha for the vapour barrier and Primer 3d for the Forever door cards. foam and vinyl.
Manual...
Thanks. It was certainly satisfying seeing it up come up clean as new.
Thanks Steve. It's not a job I'd want to do too often, but I have both doors done now and ready for refitment. Replacing the window glass weather strips while I'm about it too.
Is there anything...
A little more cleanuo progress and a bunch of parts ordered and on the way...
