Thanks. The PCR demo car was an inspiration to me. Wanted mine to be less racy looking and with more of a luxurious vibe. So I chose a similar but different path.
Removing the rear mudflaps...
Red Clubman looks prestine AK.

New wheels on the PitCrew. Weighed the chrome wheels after the tyres were stripped and they were 12.1kg which I think were too heavy for the car. Now running Watanabe B-Type, 14x6.5, +14.5, 6.34kg,...

This is what the (filled) hole in the roof looks like from the underside. Wire is for a chmsl which I didn't like and removed. The roof vent itself is two piece,...
I have the MS top with vent. Blocked it up to stop the spiders getting in. If you shoot the hose into it water pours in but it doesn't let any water in under normal use
Yes, I still have both cars. The yellow car has been in storage for three years or so. This pic on 13s was taken just before I put it away. Hoping to get it back out next year.

Fantastic wheels Atank! Love how your Italia now captures that swinging sixties feeling.
1. Yes, light scuff, clean and some kind of adhesion promoter. Primer is easiest.
2. Polyester filler (bondo) is best. If they're only small, use the fine fill version.
3. Wait till the first layer...
Nice one vaho! My favorite stock color for the Pit Crew Racing conversion. Also appreciate what you did with the GV rear. Didn't spot it at first; so beautifully finished.
Not been driving my car much lately, but here's a couple of recent snaps on the Lakes Highway, Tasmania

Thanks for answering that, Roadster7. Saw in an email that Rogue had quoted my old post. Did a search and found your informative post here...
This week I got to take my PitCrew Racing Mx-5 for it's first real drive.
Finished assembling my new Roadster early this year but didn't get a chance to use it as the Council dug up my street....
One of my favorite Miatas. Excellent quality build with a good eye for the details. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'll miss this car.
Like this grey Roadster. Many interesting features. Does anyone know what wheels these are?

Excellent work AO. Love these high energy mods!
Hi there, fellow Aussie. Is that a stripe I see on the titanium? Sweet.
Really like this white NA with unusual body mods posted by Corns

The standard ms vent is always open, too. It's a good point about the spiders, and one I hadn't considered. Ms item has a mesh fitted though, maybe it'll keep the big fellas out.
Why is anybody worried about adding the vent to a stock ht? It's not like they're rare. If you stuff it up, stick another on, or make a sunroof, lol. No damage to car. It's not like adding flares...
Looks like it's an NZDM Mx-5. Nice.
What mx54life says is true. I measured mine and the centres are the perfect diameter to match what are known here as South American wide bands.
Nice! That grey fastback should have Toyota and Subaru worrying about their future sales.
No. Don't do that. It won't look as good if you mix the colours beforehand. Mixing the two colours in the air gives it a more textural look. I did my tan crash pad red using 73bacon's method, and it...
Mazda Australia factory alarm systems were made by Vision and added in pre delivery. I prefer to replace them with an Immobiliser that meets new Au standards. If you have an uninstalled factory...
