Geez...that looks more like a gouge than a score, lol
The struggle is real there. I could see myself getting cut every time my hand went anywhere near the trunk knowing my luck
Welcome back on dry land :)
Update: If you can still get it, do it. It held up for at least one season with plenty of tension on it and had no issues!
See my build thread for more info.
I'm curious how the heat shield and insulation worked out for you. Probably have to give it more time.
The thought has crossed my mind. They are SOHC, but run like a sewing machine.
I mean, you could do a KL, but the Honda J-Series beckons...
So the fan relay did nothing for you?
You going to Cars and Coffee tomorrow? Love to see what this looks like!
Not gonna lie: if Gene (may he rest in peace) had figured out how to do the KeeniTop without requiring me to drill into the windshield header, I'd have bought it instead of the ProjectG. It's very...
Ahhh, so you did buy it! I love mine but I need to get a little lower in the car, too.
It was great to see you again. Shame it wasn't long enough! The event keeps me pretty busy :(
Lookin' good!
What do you use to clean the windblocker? Is it still the Raceland one?
I only have tomorrow to prep, lol
Glad you'll be able to make it!
Oh, I didn't. Just got the tire replaced yesterday. It was about 5 inches long and nearly as thick as my pinky. Gotta love when the guys in the shop all do double takes when they see what you brought...
I'm always looking at how I can get a little lower. I could gut my stock seat some more, but I'm a bit leery of the height of the seatbelt receptacle relative to my hips.
How much lower is the Marrad? Curious.
Right?! I was thinking the same thing! I'm quite frankly shocked that it didn't just burst outright.
Thank goodness for Road Hazard. I'm not even going to bother with trying to patch it.
I wish the EZ Brace still existed. It would have certainly been the most convenient setup. The Vernie piece has held up just fine, though, so far. I'm also impressed by JB Weld's structural...
Once I had the top fitted to the header bar/frame, it was time to fit it to the car, which, of course, included making/modifying the center brace.
This video will give you the basic operation of...
Time for a long, long, long overdue update!
First, the G-String. For an introduction, you can check out RevLimiter's article. The pics are so good that Project-G uses them for the instructions...
How well have these held up?
I went ahead and bought one. We'll see how it works!
Only waiting on one more piece to start putting it together :)
(Of course the fact that it hasn't stopped snowing really kills the old motivation, ya know?)
