Mr. Mazda (Mike) is a good friend of mine and could help here. Before you take it to him, though, you can disconnect the e-brake line with a 14mm and then undo the 14mm bolt cover for the hex. Should...

Indeed, Brian!
So I've decided to build a DIY coldside intake for two reasons. First, I need to delete the MAF and with the JR intake that seems to be a difficult task as the MAF plug in area is...
COPs in and the car is running on the MegaSquirt now. Pretty happy. Took long enough :)

And now the fun begins. Lots of reading in my future.
I returned to messing around with the MS again a week ago, this time with adult supervision. Apparently that doesn't seem to matter as I blew yet another pack. This time, though, I figured out why!...
I made one out of a solid block of aluminium. Still, +1 on this thing, its pretty great.
I suggest you go with the Garagestar front braces. After doing a couple boss frog braces, I have to say that fitment is an issue most of the time. Not only that but the frog arms are not...
If you seal off the headlight area from the rest of the engine bay then I'd say a turn signal intake on that side or a turbo scoop headlight lid. Otherwise you'll be pressurising the engine...

You can do something like that, a custom cold side or cut hood vents.
Honestly heat soak is...
With a standalone you're able to run off of MAP and IAT. AFM/MAF can be deleted at that point. You don't have to, but MAP/IAT is superior to AFM/MAF and has none of the restrictive drawbacks, so why...
On factory stuff & tune, yeah the Randall is okay. Once you increase flow through your engine & start tuning, the factory stuff (MAF/AFM & Airbox) becomes a restriction. It's a mod that's good for...
No significant gains to be had as the factory ecu is quite shit, to be frank. It runs entirely too lean at the bottom/midrange and the timing map is way too conservative. You can do all the N/A...
I have rails on both my cars, FM on the NA and Static Nine Garage on the NB. In both cases the factory sheet was crushed to bits. I got a large pipe wrench and muscled them back into shape, then...
I have a ceramic JR with TDR blanket. Before I was running without a blanket and noticed significant temperature increases in IAT when standing still/stop & go. Went from sucking ~+10* over ambient...
So I haven't updated in a while because, well, I haven't done anything in a while. That is, until this past week/weekend. I finally picked up an AEM Uego WBO2 so that means I was able to get started...
Don't own it anymore, sold this '96 M about 6 months ago.

Full album here. Was a good car. Just thought to share :)
Flame suit because most of the time even mentioning the things starts arguments, haha.
I find NB tophats to be enough. I'm currently running MSM Billies with 550/375 6" springs, stock NB tophats and cut NB bump stops. 12.5"F/13"R and I've not touched the bumpstops once, so take that...
So, I'm probably going to get some (a lot of) flack for this but Ricelands can and have been successfully used in competition, and have won. Both in NASA TT and in some local STS AutoX. For the...
I've only heard of them, no experience with them. All my tuning questions and concerns are answered by Jei @ Blacktrax most of the time. What's the issue? With the tune or the exhintake? MS is pretty...
Did the '99 exhintake swap on Sunday. No issues at all and fired right up on the first shot. Bit more aggressive idle but not by much. Low-Mid range expereinced no change. Top end feels like a few HP...
I'd be down for something in Dublin, but the Sac meets are just too far for a week night. I sometimes show to the NCR meets if I know there will be a few people there. They can be pretty dead...
It's a soul crushing experience on a Dynapack. Not knowing anything my first time there, I was expecting 120-130whp on my NB. 107 was a kick in the face. Another local who has a built BP on E85 with...
On this particular one its usually a difference of about 10-15 horsepower. It's definitely not a dyno for showing power if you're really concerned with numbers. Much better suited for tuning.
Yeah this is too true. Idk what it is but the Miata community out here is really splintered.
Yeah, I will. I dyno at a local Dynapack Hub so the numbers are much lower then a Mustang or Dynojet. Most are at 90-100whp and I/H/E cars are 5-10whp more. My NB was 107whp.
