Installed the techno toy tuning battery tie down i got from Ken at GarageStar.
Note what the previous leaky unsealed battery can do. The surface rust has been sealed, i'll eventually clean it up...

NB needles dont work. You need to scrape of the white on the underside of the needles and use paint or vinyl.

That gauge hood is what Mazda now sells, they don't sell them in gloss black anymore.
Apparently this is to reduce glare that the glossy hood reflected onto the windscreen.
