In the past 3 week I had a rod bearing go bad on the motor. I put in a new motor with new factory Toyota parts that my good friend Brian built. It runs like a champ! Aaron gets all the credit for most of the if not the whole install. I also installed a brand new Buddy Club exhaust. IT'S LOUD! Here are a few pictures of the removal of the motor.

Update as of May 8, 2011

Zenki Bumper and Buddy Club exhaust installed. I need a Zenki lip

Some of you know the trip to Los Angeles was a shake down for the 86. It was a fun drive but the clutch master took a crap on me on my way from Sherman Oaks to Long Beach. Hugh from MOCC was kind enough to drive to my hotel and hook me up with a few bottles of brake fluid for the weekend. While in Long Beach Herb "Herbrockone" from Cabe Toyota hooked me up fat with a new clutch master. While I was there I upsold myself on getting a new brake master and slave cylinder. Here is the old vs new stuff. If you ever need anything for a Toyota you should hit up Herb. Cabe Toyota stocks tons of hard to get old Toyota parts.

Update as of June 19, 2011

    Replaced my hood release cable.

Update as of August 24, 2011

A few months back I picked up a Buddy Club Spec II exhaust. As some of you know I got busted for modified exhaust while I was in LA for Mazfest. I guess you have to pay to play. Is it loud? Very! Louder than my RS*R on my Miata. I have in car video I will post up after I edit it.

NRG Oil catch can. The NRG Logo looked like crap so I put stickers over it. People asked me why I didn't want to go with a Cusco or something JDM. Because it was a $40 catch can and Cusco was over priced and they both do the same thing.

A month ago I picked up a 360mm all black Nardi Classic from Ramon and a few weeks ago I picked up a Memory fab seat from Angel. Purchased a new Buddy Club seat rail while in LA a few weeks ago.

    Future Plans.

I ordered my rear Zenki bumper. It should be here in October.

Update as of Oct 13, 2011

This is what I brought home today and this is what it has in it.

cam gears, msd ignition, hks cams 256/264, trd header, lsd, trd springs 8f,6r, tokico blue struts, 88 red top motor, New toyota clutch, fidanza flywheel, side skirts, TRD short shifter, momo steering wheel, Rewinds with new tires, sprinter tail lights and all kinds of misc stuff. I got a smoking deal because it had front end damage. I might try to fix it but if its going to take to much of my time I will keep the cams, header and side skirts and part out the rest.

Pulled the HKS cams out of the other 86 I picked up. 256/264. What a huge difference. I will have video tomorrow. I also put the MSD blaster coil in.

The past few days I have been pretty busy but here is a small update.

I put all the window trim on but the front wind shield (forgot it at the shop). Swapped out the Cusco strut brace for a Carbing triangle brace. I will spend my Thanksgiving installing my TRD 4-1 header.

Clutch is finally broken in and I got a new contour 1080 camera so it gave me a reason to do a quick 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear pull on the freeway. Speedo is off by 10 mph.

    Enjoy
