Tiny update: I've ordered more non-reflective material. Gonna try again.

    Adam,

Aren't the KG/RS panels now sold with non-reflective glass?

I have no idea how well their new glass actually works, but how do they get their glass to fit without running into the same problem?

Thanks again for all your amazing contributions!

If I sent you the plastic parts from my NB RS Refine rings, can you include these in your cut list? I have spent many hours trying to polish the scratches out of them.

To both questions: I have no idea. I know that MINE is not anti-reflective. I hate to sound selfish, but that's honestly all I care about. I need to make glass for Sharka. It's an obsession.

And if I happen to make a few hundred other sets, that's a bonus.

It's already enough complication to deal with the KGW glass and RS-Refine NA glass. I don't want to add a possible 3rd size in there at this time, especially since I have no idea how many more failures I'll have. Once I have a successful prototype, I'll consider it.

I could have bought about 5 KGW clusters at current market rate so far... lol

Just spotted this thread. Awesome effort Adam. Your innovations add so much to the Roadster community. Well done. I often browse your gauge site, but find too many choices, and can never make a decision. This one is easy. Adding my name to the list.

The list doesn't really have a use anymore. It was just to get a rough ratio of one type to the other.

    I have a tiny update.

My latest polycarbonate material is AMAZING. I've got samples cut and installed in my own cluster. I need to stress test it for a few days... but... I think it will work.

    So excited.

I think I'm going to regret selling my KGW cluster

The new lenses are also quite light. 48 grams for the 5 pieces vs 92 grams for the original KGW glass. And the museum glass was 120 grams!

It's a synthetic polymer resin. You know the stuff they make non-glass eyeglasses out of? Same stuff.
