Been a while since I posted updates!
I acquired and installed some AWD independent gauge rings

At which point I embarked on a redesign project with a friend in the 3d printing field

We worked up a copy in solidworks, then made some design changes to the beveling and printed three different sample sets. I have to get some paint on them to get a good idea of which set looks best, and then I'll probably have a set made as a one off for myself.

    I'm leaning towards this set

I won best wheels at a car show last weekend (I LOVE my works)

Then I proceeded to bend a lip on a rock in the road coming home that night! I was so sick to my stomach I almost puked! Dropped it off to be repaired and I'm satisfied with the results.

After running my winter set of wheels for the week, I really think I might have to switch the r-compounds off of my work wheels. The sidewalls on the federal rs-r are so stiff that it really rides harshly. I don't have any shows or events for a couple of weeks, so I'll probably just enjoy a nice soft ride until then. The Works are in the basement, and I'll probably take the time to really polish the lips up.

I have an upcoming vacation, so parts purchases will halt for a month or so, but I'm looking for a set of AWD vent rings at the right price, and considering new side view mirrors. I'd really like to run a small flare too, but haven't found anything that tickles my fancy yet. I want to switch out to a smaller steering wheel (nardi deep corn with red stitch and silver spokes sounds like what I want) . I nearly pulled the trigger on a whole new turbo setup from Fab9, but I haven't quite given up on a motor swap yet. I should make my decision by this winter though.

Keeping the works! Not a whole lot of progress on the car lately, but I have removed the pinstriping (gross, I hate it), and unintentionally removed the rubber ez lip on the front bumper with a curb last evening at work. I finally bit the bullet and bought the AWD ventilation rings to match my AWD cluster rings, so my interior should be finished for a while!

I also installed the garagestar door bushings, and they're amazing. I can't believe what a difference they've made for such little cost and time!

I have car stuff to do every weekend this month, this Friday and Saturday I'll be pushing cars across the block at the Mecum auction in Harrisburg PA (super excited), the following weekend I have a car guy wedding to attend which should be a blast. The following weekend I'm having my car wrapped in camo (with pink in it) as a part of a benefit car show for cancer research in Harrisburg as well. Supercars on state street is the show, Google it, it's a great day! Then the following weekend is the show itself. At some point this month I really need to get my front bumper repainted as a result of some chips that drive me crazy... I'll have to set that up for next week. I have an alternator issue with my daily, so I'm driving the miata every day at the moment (which is awesome).

Some photos (not mine, credit to my buddy Austin) of us wrapping our cars for the supercars on state street show this coming weekend. My wrap kind of looks like shit, doing it in the hot august sun was not ideal. It will be coming off after the show (pics of mine later this week)

I managed to rip some paint off of my fender removing the vinyl camo.... so the car is at the paint shop having that fixed, as well as having my gv tails painted to match the car. Should be picking it up tomorrow!

GV tails are gorgeous, wasn't able to install them this morning because I forgot that I needed to cut a hole in the car.... Oops, honestly considering selling them again, but they're so pretty!

On the Nb, the light used for the gv tails interferes with the body of the car and the metal behind it needs to be cut away. These have replacement fiberglass buckets that cover the area cut away. If and/or When I actually do the install, I'll take some photos and document the process. These are really too nice to not install, but I wish that they didn't require surgery to fit in that space. I wonder if there is a shallower light that could be substituted.
