Would it be wise to run hood pins / latches for aftermarket fiberglass hoods.
I will be getting a fiberglass hood in the near future which already has hood latches installed on it. I was considering having them removed and then reglassed, but it was brought to my attention that I may be running the risk of the hood popping open while driving.
If I had a choice I would rather not run latches, but I would rather not chance it popping up while driving. What do you guys think?

If the latch area isn't reinforced, most definitely.

2,000 rpm - light wheelspin, no bog here!
It is better to be safe. It would suck to have the hood pop up on the highway. There are some nice ones out there that mount flush with the hood.

Welp, I think that pretty much answers my question. Maybe I'll at least have the latches paint matched with the hood. Thanks!

I'd run latches. Curious what hood you got. Our cars would be twinning pretty hard if you got a gv one
