Hahahah Yeah it does sort of look like a van (took a few weeks to get used to it in the garage spot where the miata was)
But overall I am very happy with my decision. The miata was getting uncomfortable to drive every day for me. I had the miata down for a few days and started driving my moms 6 hatch and my dads speed 6 while i fixed the miata and i decided that i was done with the little car.
The Miata is a great car, I loved it and love the community, but IMO its NOT a daily driver. At all.
