I was in Waynesburg over the weekend visiting my parents. It's the first time my son has been to my hometown since he was born.
Unfortunately, I really didn't have time to socialize
Aaah, that's a bummer. A lot of my work trips have brought me close to friends lately but again, never time enough to capitalize on it.
Yeah...one thing nice about Waynesburg is that it's SOOOOOOOOOOO quiet...

Def. a very cool shot with the stars! so wtf is up with my company not having breaks/lunches, just cause ohio has no employee protection laws. this kinda sucks working over 6 hours with no lunch.
They do for minors. I guess I never realized they don't have it for regular workers because I've had good employers thus far.
There are laws about it. . . its been YEARS since I had to deal with it, but if I recall its:
Anything over 6.5 hours = 1/2 hour unpaid break
Over 4 but under 6.5 = 15 min paid break
Anyone from here heading to the Toledo SCCA event this weekend? I know there are a bunch of miata guys coming in from throughout the state.
2012: Purchased Miata, Laid off 3 days later. 4th place overall (default!), NWOR SCCA (RTR)
2013: Budget RTR build, massive increase in participation, 3rd place overall, NWOR SCCA (RTR)
2014: Suspension and more active competition in STS. 3rd place overall, NWOR SCCA
2015: Time for some "form" and vintage styling (while still racing NWOR, of course).

There's supposed to be some non Miata guys from my area going to it. I'm not able to as I'm out of town for a family reunion this weekend.
couldn't find any ohio laws, and there is no federal one. guess that's why I worked 9 hours with one 15 min break. bleah.

A: No, under Ohiolaw the employer is not required to give lunch or restroom breaks. However, if the employee is under 18 years of age, an employer is required to give the employee a half hour break for every 5 hours worked.
