Revaluations are always a good idea when the passion for your vehicle becomes clouded! Good choice!

Waiting to see the next iteration!

I keep getting scared that you're parting out your Miata because of all your fs section posts.
I'm looking forward to what your Miata is going to become.

I did get rid of a lot of stuff on it. I have been focusing a lot on the engine and trying to get everything out of this supercharger.

Don't worry, the car is forever mine

It's a snail, with what looks like a turbo for a shell. It's got a big wheel, and angry eyes. Sooooooo, I guess it was a nod to going turbo... you know, let's say, if you were going turbo. Not that I'm saying you are, but if you were.

Alright, lets get into this update. Some of you have seen that I have been selling off some parts, buying some parts, etc. Well like I said earlier, I felt like my car had too much stuff on it and didn't feel like a Miata anymore. Here is how the car sits.

The lip is gone, side skirts off, low pros are off, and the wheels should also be gone soon. I'm actually trying to find something lighter and thinner. Ya, I said it; lighter and thinner. The car doesn't feel the same as a Miata with more Miata appropriate wheels. On top of that, I'm trying to change the suspension. I want something not so soft, but don't want to drop tons of money. So I'm looking for some FM 2 springs to match with my Konis.

The interior of the car looks like this

I took all the chrome out. It seemed like I was trying to hard. I like the simple black interior. Don't worry, my awesome seats are still in

Also, I had installed a supercharger on my car. I started with the stock ECU, to the FM Voodoo box, to MS3X with FMIC. Needless to say, it is a pretty fun set up. My MS3 wasn't working as well as it could have due to my bad VTPS. On top of that, I never got a chance to really tune it due to that pesky VTPS. This is what it looked like

My friend hates working on my car. He finally had a chance to take out some of the anger.

There is a huge hole in my hood now. BUT THE INTERCOOLER FITS!

Anyway, it was pushing somewhere around 150WHP. Gotta say, there is NO REASON why you shouldn't run a intercooler on a basic supercharger set up. I don't care what anyone says about, "Oh, its just 5psi. You really don't need a FMIC". Bullshit, I saw intake temps go from 170 in boost to ambient (74 at the time). My intake temps without the intercooler was around 210 in the middle of a Florida day. Needless to say, the ECU retarded and incredible amount of timing. With a FMIC, I never had that problem.

Had fun with it, but in the end, it wasn't enough. Inside of two months, I installed a supercharger and then took it out.

Took it out in about 3 hours with no hiccups. Packed it all up, baggied all the bolts/brackets/etc. I sold it in about a hour after putting it up on the local forums!

For the cost of the SC itself plus how much money it would cost to up with boost just isn't worth it. If I did everything I could to it, I would hit around 170~WHP which just isn't enough. Don't get me wrong, the SC is a fun set up and can keep you entertained. But at 21 (soon to be 22 in 18 days) I NEED MORE POWER! ITS TURBO TIME!

Oh btw, I finally fixed that window. ITS SO NICE HAVING AIR AGAIN!

Thats the update. Should have more soon because I'm gonna go on a shopping spree of turbo bits.
