Wow, after reading this plus it being a rainy, quiet night, I've decided to listen to A Whiter Shade of Pale while I insert my Oblivion DVD (which that song is heard) and try to fall asleep. Damn you New Posts button!

Car's name is RustRat, well, because of rust. But I am thinking I will have to rename it, after the changes I plan.

I have the same renaming thoughts as you. But is it as bad luck to rename a car as it is to rename a boat? Noir might go white!

There is quite a definitive history of naval superstition regarding changing names, perhaps with some merit.

I recently changed mine to Mandrake. It was RedBat but that never felt right and I never really used it. Most of the time it was just the little red car.

My cars always have had names related to their country of origin. My first Miata was Tamiko, so this one was Aikito. The Volvos, the Porsches and the Honda CRX Si I once had, also had ethnic related names.

Don't lie. The only Porsche you ever had was made by HotWheels. Why haven't you been online for so long? And don't blame it on some hurricane in Puerto Rico.

I have named all my cars. Some choices were better than others (my Speed6 was Shachi, Japanese for orca). For Minnie, I was stuck for a bit. Thought about the MM abbreviation for the color and then I had the song "Minnie The Moocher" in my head for some reason (which sort of mates up to the MM), and I like Minnie Driver. Minnie it was. Some people think it's Mini because of her size, once I found out Revlimiter could do special nameplates for the door sills I got them so there would be no confusion.

Ganbaru; as it summarizes my vision about the car.

"Ganbaru (頑張る lit., stand firm), also romanized as gambaru, is a ubiquitous Japanese word which roughly means to slog on tenaciously through tough times. The word Ganbaru is often translated to mean "doing one's best", but in practice, it means doing more than one's best."
