    Circuit Dreaming's 2001

Hello everyone, I'd like to both introduce myself and my car to this forum. My name is Nick and I currently live in central Texas. I post a lot in ClubRoadster under the username Ncorlis, but I have decided to leave because of the general lack of constructive and helpful members there. I am always willing to help a fellow car enthusiast out in any way I can . My current username is what I normally choose, as it is a play on the word circuit as in the computer part, and the race track. I'm a huge fan of both!

Now to my car, my 2001 Mazda Miata. I have owned it for a little over three years now, and have had it since my senior year in high school and through to college. I purchased it because I have driven shifter karts all my life, and every time I drove/raced them I remember thinking "Man, I wish I could just skip right through the pits and take this thing down some twisty roads". Well, I eventually sold my nice and new Mazda 3 and bought myself my Miata. I convinced my parents to allow me to do this my putting the ~$8000 left over towards college lol. At first I wanted to make it an all out track car that I could still barely drive on the street, but as time went on I found my car became just as fun to drive on the street as it was on the track (in different ways). So I have been trying to create a comfortable, quick, japanese inspired roadster that I could enjoy cruising on the streets and twisty roads, while still being fun to drive on the local race track. I am currently trying to "restore" the car as well. Slowly but surely I am replacing OEM parts, or replacing worn parts with improved performance items such as brakes, suspension, paint, ect with the highest quality I can manage. Anyways, To me in the end it is all about having a fun, enjoyable car. I hope you all like it, and I look forward to talking to you all!

I like it. Putting the effort into items you can enjoy in the environment you need it to shine the brightest, very nice.

Thank you for the kind words everyone! I do my best to make my car fun and enjoyable while still reflecting my style! Mini-FD: I have been stalking here for a long time, I thought it was about time lol.

The other day I got something in the mail that I have wanted for my car ever since I bought it. This thing was an Autoexe intake! Since I do not plan on going with forced induction I decided I might as well by the intake I 100% want with no compromises so I won't regret it later. Anyways, aside for the difficulty to install it, I love this intake. I have heard ITB NBs in person before, and this intake makes the car have 95% of that awesome sound past 4,000rpm. The throttle response is awesome (makes heel-toe-ing crazy easy with my lightweight flywheel), it cleans up the engine bay nicely, and feels like it pulls a little harder up top. I doubt it has done much for power considering I still need to have my car tuned. All I'm waiting for now is a header-back exhaust and a JDM flat top intake manifold to hopefully reach 150-160~WHP ^_^
