I can second DZ102s. I've been having a lot of fun with them, and they've served me well in the wet. They're cheap too. I don't know if you could do better for that price

The Azenis RT-615k are great for track use and for street use they are fairly good.

Rt615k are good due to their price. They also tend to run a bit wider than their size would suggest. I don't think they're near grip levels of other street legal comp tires out today. Thread blocks also provide good control in the rain as long as you don't let them get too worn and then try and speed on wet roads.

Yoko S-Drives are kinda meh. Came on my car when I bought her.

Replaced with BFG Sport Comp2s. Good tire, but have a narrow limit once you reach it.

Both 195 on a 7, the BFG runs wider. S-Drives were perfectly square while the Sport Comp2s ran over a little showing some sidewall buldge.

For what they are, the BFGs have a surprising amount of grip. But, I don't reccomend them unless you can control them at their limit. From my experience, they just start to talk when reaching the limit, push them too much more, they go quiet and slip.

Of course, the Sport Comp2s can't compare to the <200 treadwear crowd.

Do not know if Pirellis' PZero Nero are a thing in US, but I am super happy with mine (albeit in 16")

615K's are about 4 years behind the latest tires. Yoke AD08R's are another great tire but a bit pricy.

I am rocking the 205 50 15 Dunlop Z2 SS. They have not let me down yet in an autocross yet.

I agree with the 615k criticisms. I drove a track day on them last Saturday. I liked that they made a lot of noise near the limit, it made threshold braking less dicey. The issue was their tendency to sharply drop off over the limit. They are not as forgiving as Dunlop's ZII for example.

I have run through a few sets of 615Ks. Not a bad tire for the price, but they overheat quickly and get greasy.

probably gonna order the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08-R this week, in 205/50-15 using the 15" BBS wheels from my 1995 Merlot. should look better now that the car is finally lowered.

I keep hearing the best from people that have tried the AD08-Rs, waiting for impressions!

I liked my regular AD 08's better than the original Star Spec. For some odd reason, my Star Specs developed odd wear patches in spots.
