Do the RPMs drop when you turn them on? Or is it when you are trying to move from a stop?

1,000 rpm - releasing the clutch
Car currently Idles at 850rpm's. This happens only when the fans come on. A/C works fine but when I turn on the A/C fan the idle drops. Just as when the electric Cooling fans for the radiator come on, the idle drops. Sorry for the late response. I have been a little busy yesterday and today. I just wrote up the question as i was heading out the door. Thank You for the responses though and i hope to get this problem resolved.

1,000 rpm - releasing the clutch
With everything I have done to it this last month it is still having a problem with misfiring. It runs way better than it did though. More responsive, more power, Idles smooth (except for the current problem described above). I think I may have a power drain somewhere and could be linked to both problems. Then again I could be wrong. This is my first Miata and am unsure if the ignition and other electrical systems are linked in any way.

Idling - Listen to it purr...
I had my miata, that is under construction, out in the driveway idling while I cleaned the garage lastnight. The idle drops when the fans come on (radiator). It drops maybe 50 to 100 rpm. Nothing crazy. It is pretty normal. My car idles about 950 RPMs. Is your idle dropping more substantially than that? 300-400 RM to where it is about to cut off? At first I thought maybe it was your compressor clutch binding up a little but you are sure it is just from your fans?
As mentioned before, Raise the idle speed up and test.
If that doesn't work, you could try maybe cleaning your throttle body and checking all of your grounds won't hurt.

It is normal, the fans and AC are a big current load. I t is pretty common. Raising the idle is a cheap fix, but some things come to mind to just check; make sure all your intake connections are solid and not leaking air past the MAF. Check your vacuum hoses and their connections. Also, besides the grounds, check the health of your battery.
