They will reduce engine bay temperature (which is how companies advertise them) but they will also reduce the airflow through your heat exchangers making them less efficient. You don't want the latter to get the former.
I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

I thought this stuff died with CR.

No and no. They're all of the above... fugly, inefficient and make you look like a raging douche. Forget about them while you still can.

I love Ace but don't ever walk into one asking for hood risers. I have a hard enough time getting them to understand I need something exactly the way I want it because custom auto project and they insist I need something else.

They only work when you are in stand still traffic, hot air rises out of the engine bay. BUT when at speed, the area at the back of the hood/bonnet is a very high pressure zone. Air flows from high to low pressure, so you're actually sucking air into your engine bar rathter then sucking the hot air out.

Ive seen several companies dyno test and I think Import Tuner did a test as well. Under hood temp and air intake temp will drop, but your oil temperatures rise. Up to you whether you think it's worth it.

funny story lol. i had em on my 240 and i used to do some regular spirited drives up gmr and the first night i took em off i overheated coming down frontside rofl. i think it was just a coincidence though.

hood risers are ugly though, idk what i was thinking haha.
