Very cool NOS Mazda cigarette lighter

I bought one of these on eBay and just received it. It is beautiful! Heavy, chromed metal, well-finished. Feels great in the hand.

Please note: I have no connection with the seller other than having bought one lighter from him.

Looking at that sellers other items for sale, I have a feeling that those aren't actual NOS... maybe 'freshly minted' can be a thing? ;)

Seller has another 'NOS' lighter listed same price. Still nice vintage looking.
(too may different mint ones listed to be true NOS's though)

I think it looks kind of cool, but if that's NOS, I'm wearing g-string underwear.

Definitely not NOS. The dimensions of the circle-M are incorrect for one thing. The M is not centered and the stroke thickness is incorrect. And I believe that design was actually a KG Works original. I don't think it ever appeared on a vintage Mazda in that layout.

But it is a very pretty lighter.

That's one reason why Adam's products are THE BEST--BAR NONE!

His attention to detail is phenomenal.

BTW, the seller says only that these are new--the "NOS" label was my mistake in my original post.

And even though they are new, they are still very nice, IMO.

He says "rare" and "excellent unused original condition" so calling it NOS is not a huge leap of faith or anything. The ad is worded to make it sound like a vintage NOS item.

And I'm still considering buying one. It looks super pretty.
