    Hello from Sydney Australia!

    Hey guys
My name is Steve and I recently picked up an absolute mint 1996 NA8C in BRG. So happy with the purchase! The car was previously owned by an much older gentleman who kept it for around 9-10 years but since then has only done 2000kms and was always garaged with a car cover over it. As a result, the paintwork is still immaculate, and there is absolutely zero modifications done to the car aside from a Sony Headunit.

    Absolutely love driving it!

....Poleposition Mazda key that I have already ordered in anticipation! Hahaha!

I've already got a few mods I would like to do and looking at RS Products and REV9 makes me want so much stuff! But I think the very first thing I will do is a full fluid flush/change and service, make sure everything is running the way it should be, check brake lines, pads, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, ignition leads, spark plugs etc to make sure all that stuff is taken care of. THEN i will let the mods begin, and probably starting with mainly cosmetic. I would like to keep the engine and suspension stock as long as I can before I change over to some coilovers etc

Thanks Mike! Yeah as mentioned above, just do a routine full service replacing all fluids and oils and oil filter, make sure all the running gear is still good and then later on, get some cosmetic upgrades like chrome rounded mirrors from RS product, KG Works rear view, joyfast shiftknob, nardi wooden steering wheel, BBS RS 001 rebuilt with slightly deeper polished lips, perhaps some TEIN monoflex coilovers and maybe a headunit upgrade (The one i have looks really nice but the buttons play up sometimes so I think its a connection issue? Not sure)

Welcome Steve! Everyone else pretty much covered the basics but again FABULOUS looking BRG! You got the best of ALL THE WORLDS with the color combo, airbagless dash and na8 hardware, very jealous! Sounds like some classy mods have been chosen, definitely start a build thread to track your progress!

Cheers! Yeah pretty ecstatic that I was able to find what I consider to be an absolute mint example of a BRG with TAN leather, NA8C at that too!

Wanting to start a build thread but just curiously, it seems on this forum you cannot edit your posts once you've posted? With previous forums where I have had build threads, I would make my first post on the thread my executive summary of the car and then edit it when a new mod or fix has been done to the vehicle.

Is there an edit function here on this forum?

Yes, there is an "edit post" function but it's limited to a fairly short time period. I don't even know how long the period is

Oh, and I love your car! I had a BRG a few years ago but it was a POS.
