After an eight year hiatus, I am back in a Miata, this time the car of my dreams: a 97 M Edition in unbelievably mint condition. I bought it with 18000 miles and added a little over 2000 miles since September. I knew that one day my dream car will appear, I just had to be patient. The car was bought new from a dealer in Illinois and serviced there until about a year ago when the original owner passed away. The widow offered the car to the mechanic who did the original PDI and every service on it since. He sold me the car. If I tell you the thing is mint, that is an understatement. When I had it inspected locally to get plated, the inspector was in utter shock the car is 18 years old. It never was parked outdoors, never saw rain until I drove it home and snow for sure not. It is now in storage for the winter (although it's going to be in the mid '60s tomorrow). I would have posted a picture but the forum tells me I am not allowed.
Can't wait for spring!
