@hammerhead: Oh how i have longed for one of those Panasonic's!
Especially the one with visible tubes, like so:
Only thing with this one is i believe it is actually bigger than a standard double din. Warbird needs it so badly....

Well I had just finished routine maintenance in preparation for my first mountain drive road trip (oil change, fluid & spark plug check... Car wash) and the car broke down shortly after leaving the house.
It honestly felt like the car was out of gas, but I had just filled the tank the day before. My first thought was the fuel pump, as I hadn't changed it in a long time. After replacing that, and it was desperately in need of replacement, I moved to the fuel pump. I couldn't really hear it running, so I figured it was either not working or weak. I replaced that and the problem persisted, so I moved to the fuel rail and injectors. When taking the fuel rail off, two injectors fell off of it with o-rings that were pretty loose, so I replaced those and when I did, one of the injectors started leaking into the cylinder and hydro locked the engine. Fired the fluid out of the engine, replaced the injector, and it still wouldn't crank. Just kept turning over endlessly. Stared at diagrams for a few hours and decided to test the computer for issues with injector signals. Found that the pin that fires injectors 1&3 had an apparent disconnect somewhere along the circuit board. Replaced computer. Car still won't start. So now the only thing we can think of is a crank angle sensor. We did some tests and it isn't working either. It seems like it shorted out and that is what fried the computer. Or at least that's our best guess...

Circuit control relay. It's aka fuel pump relay. It controls timing, fuel, ignition. I went through this 51 weeks ago.
It is under the dash, driver's side.
It is hard to diagnose because it touches so many systems and the relay goes by different names. It's about $60-90. PM me directly if you have more questions.

Pardon me, it's called the 'circuit opening relay', see the lower right drawing for it's location:
It also looks like this:
You can see it if you lay on the floor, head in the footwell, driver side. You can also see it if you remove the gauge hood and instrument cluster.
If you have the California emissions version, it may be a little different. That ECU and EFI runs the injectors sequentially, not batch fired.
