Hey everybody, I am not new to miatas but this will be my first time documenting my progress with a car online. My first project was a 68 camaro that i restored with my dad through high school and then we sold it. next i had a black 95 1.8 with an lsd and the huge difference between doing wheelies in a camaro at the drag strip and then hopping into an old NA miata really shows you two complete opposite style of sports car. To my surprise I enjoyed the miata much more to drive everyday because it was so fun and easy and a great car to push hard around our back roads. Then a guy who raced miatas for a living offered me a good deal so i sold the 95 because i found an 84' 50th ae 300zx turbo and that became my obsession for a year until t-boned by and old woman who ran a red light and the car was totaled so that brings me to my silver 99 sport.
the car will see a lot of diy interior work and suspension work from myself and a good friend of mine is rebuilding the motor for me right now for a great deal and step one is shaving the head down .040 of an inch to raise my compression a bit. I am planning on staying natural so no boost in this cars future.
