I found a couple more pics of how the seats sit in my car with the brackets I'm using. The pictures suck but maybe they're useful to somebody. For reference, I'm 181cm / 5' 11". Head clearance is OK but I have troubles doing heel toe because my kees touch the lower part of the steering wheel. Using a hub and a deep aftermarket wheel would fix this, but it's not legal in my country:

Question; has anyone tried both Sunmate and Kemmler? Both have excellent reviews, Sunmate is a fair bit cheaper though (although both are fairly cheap for what they are), and offer an approved flame retardant version which is a nice bonus. Would love to hear what is best, as I have to choose a path soon.

Nop. Nowhere, except if you want to pay 10 times the price. Already contacted every distributor on that list. I will order directly from them. Same with Kemmler, as they do not have any EU distributors.

I had the Exige Probax in mine.

Though it got my head low enough to fit under a hardtop with a helmet, it did that by pushing my hips forward, putting my knees around my steering wheel. It was fine for around town use, but I was doing a lot of cross country trips and couldn't stand the position for the extended hours I was driving. I swapped back to my double-foamectomy seats and am about to install a pair of '95 Special Edition seats in black leather with all black plastics.

Here is my old For-Sale ad back from 2011

I'm selling my single driver's side Exige Probax seat and RyokuRob seat bracket. I had it installed in my occasional driver for about six months, but I'm just a little too big for even this combo and I take too many 4+ hour drives to keep it. There is slight rubbing on one of the bolsters that was there when I received it and it hasn't gotten any worse in my care. This seat is an upgrade from the Elise seat or the earlier lumbar-pump seats.

The seat is a black leather Exige seat with the Probax padding and tag. The bracket is one of the later designs with the additional outrigger to capture the upper bolt on the seat.

It's currently bolted together along with a '94 seat belt receiver properly bolted to the bracket. I've also got a passenger side '94 receiver and the original Lotus driver's side seat bracket and seatbelt receiver.

Willing to sell the whole setup for $900 plus shipping.

I'm willing to ship to anyone that hasn't posted a will not ship ad on Clubroadster. Local pickup in Dallas, Texas is available, or I can have it relayed to Austin-San Marcos area. I'd estimate shipping at around $70 for UPS Ground.

With the Lotus bracket still attached.

The top half of the RyokuRob bracket showing the new outrigger piece.

    Installed in my Black&Black '92.

Clearance at the shoulder - more than most race seats and no interference with the B-pillar or door.

The short '94 seatbelt receiver attached to the Lotus bracket is much lower than the original NA6 receiver.

I was just thinking about you the other day, brother! Wondered if you were still around here or driving somewhere in South America and being held hostage.

Just out of curiosity, how much lower does the elise/exige seats go? I have a Recaro spg with PCI and I still want to go a little lower.

Cloth probax seats. Not sure of year.

I love how low i sit in the car. Perfect position. Perfect recline. Just enough bolstering for comfortable but spirited driving. Perfect for the style of the car and interior.

    Basically they're perfect lol

Just gotta put harness guides in.

Thank you! Simplicity at its finest. Interior feels much more classic and more room. Minus storage space but idc

Let me know when you go to order a wheel. Id like the same one with chrome spokes...maybe we can work out a deal...you order chrome one and we trade(id give ya cash too)
