Rattle can Crystal White, where to buy and what rattle can primer to use?

I have some fiberglass and carbon-fiber bits that I want to paint having it match my Crystal While 1992 Miata.
I was thinking I could get away with rattle canning since the color white is forgiving.

Do you know where I could buy pre-matched paint in a spray can? Have you ever tried it and had good success?

What primer in a spray can should I buy?

If it works out I may even consider painting my future CarbonMiata rear panel that way rather than using a paint shop.

You can get paint matched in aerosol form from several companies but don't know any off hand, sorry Rene.

    I found some here: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

Next question: Did the 1992 Miata Crystal White have clear-coat?

I believe it was a single stage. I think both na white paints, crystal and chase, were single stage aka no clear coat.

OK, great! thanks for the response.
That should make it fairly easy without the clear coat.

Did you paint your rear panel yourself? Did you get the fiberglass or carbon fiber version?

I am thinking to order the fiberglass version next week.

This is my recommendation. They do great paint match and the paint holds up better than other rattle cans I've tried. Seal it with the carcinogenic 2-part clear coat and it should be quite strong.

Rene, i received a prototype panel from Carbon Miata so it is fiberglass. It was professionally painted by a local shop that has done paint work for me for years.

I personally LOVE carbon fiber but see no point in getting cf only to cover it in paint since most cf parts are fiberglass structures with cf overlay, so usually no weight savings vs fiberglass.

This is my recommendation as well. I used this for my Project G corner flares and it matched up perfectly.
