    video Recording video in-car

Any tips on reducing NVH levels to/at the camera when recording? Sure, my car is 22 years old and has some rattles but the video I just recorded with a secure mount makes it sound like my car is going to fall apart.

Video isn't worth sharing, just a "test" clip really. But if anyone wants to hear it for themselves just ask and I'll link to youtube.

Might be due to windnoise, if you have a built in mike, For GoPros, there is a windsock "Windslayer" available to cut down on that:

These might work with the knock-offs.

Seem to be plenty of DIY versions using bits of foam or fluffy material ("dead cat").

Thanks. I'll look into foaming my microphone, it's an ancient Canon Powershot.

I think I figured it out.. there's a plastic clip that holds together the wrist strap. I think it was vibrating on the camera case! Just filmed an autocross session this eve with the strap wrapped up nicely, vids are much better and I think the rattles it is picking up are, well, actual rattles from my old MX-5 heheh

Still sounds (and for the most part looks) like junk but I'll chock that up to the old camera.
