I'm working out of Waynesville this week so I'll be driving up from there each day. Great drive up to Fontana each morning. See y'all there.

I'm sooo tempted to swing through this event on my way home from Iowa. But it adds a few hours to the trip and I'll be in a Civic loaded with all of my worldly belongings. Not a great setup for mountain roads.

So sorry to hear this. No one wants to hear they need a stress test. I pray all turns out well for you!

I'll be watching the rain forecast. If it's going to be around Saturday, I may wave off this trip.

Another friend had this on his feed. This was an accident on Tuesday at DG. Stay safe out there!

From what I read/saw, choice of tire likely had to do with that.

That sounds like a driver issue.

I know intertruck is scarce up there, but I'm leaving ATL around 8-9a Saturday morning. I'm coming up through Blood Mountain or Suches. I should be at the Fontana between 1130-1230.

Listen for the tire squeal, watch for the finger.

I didn't go. Had a couple emergencies crop up, so I deferred. I will be up there for the eclipse in a couple of weeks.

I will once I get home, get them sorted, and uploaded. Should have a couple videos too. I haven't driven as much as I had planned/wanted to, but I did get to meet and see a lot of faces/people. I have thoroughly enjoyed the conversations I've had with everyone I spoke to this weekend.

I may be staying an extra night. The owner of the rental I'm at offered me a free night since they won't be cleaning until Tues.

Pics will come sooner than later. Raining here in Robbinsville today, forecast looks to be rain all day. So I will be heading home today.

Sucks I couldn't take advantage of the generous offer of a free night, but I'm satisfied with this trip. An extra night would've just been a nice bonus.

Sorry we couldn't get to go and meet up with folks face to face that we have talked to on MR over the years. Can't wait to see the pix and videos!
