Where does this hose go to??

This is for an NA8. The hose leaving underneath the charcoal filter...where is it supposed to connect to? I just realized it's just dangling around.

in case anyone cared, the hose vents to atmosphere. It connects to a hole in the front subframe with fitting #JE16-13-298. ~the more you know~

Correct. The whole charcoal canister assembly, hoses etc can be removed.

The charcoal canister is there to stop dirty half-burnt fuel from being dumped into the atmosphere. The point is to throw it back into the mix to be burnt entirely and thrown out of the exhaust. Aka, it’s a brownie point for emission reasons..

It barely weighs anything and tends to be problem free, it does needlessly add a rat’s nest of hoses under the hood though. If emissions aren’t strict where you live then I’d pull it. I’m sure it had its benefits 25yrs ago when the car was released, now, the canister is probably so filthy it just throws crap into your engine.
You want a good car. I want a good miata.

Yea my canister and all related items have been long gone for a couple years now. Sorry i was unclear . Was just making sure you're deleting that hose; my response was phrased very poorly.

Your reply was spot on and useful info for those who dont know.
