We tried quarter wave J pipes....got some of the old prototypes here that are adjustable too. That didn't work in this application well enough, frequency coverage just too narrow, needed three separate J pipes each set to different lengths to get coverage that was still incomplete. Big Helmholtz chamber designed to the multi-peak drone issues in the Miata works a lot better, far more 'area under the curve' drone reduction.
