Painted stockers (poor people) painting Stock Miata Wheels

So, for us that can't afford 2500$ old school JDM rims...

And those who just go to Home depot, Canadian tire, Autozone, ect and pick up wheel paint.

Post up your painted stock wheels!

    I need ideas.

Flat black is timeless. Hides brake dust/dirt/mud or what have you really well.

Here are my painted daisy wheels. I did them back in 2007. Originally on my red '91, I have since used them on my BRG (because I can't decide what color to refinish my Panasports 15X7).

    Looks good!

    Some of these look GREAT!

I panicked when I saw this topic, I thought they were going to be crap looking. Not at all some are REAL nice. I had to check it out, I just started doing mine last night. 15" Stockers on an NB. I got the used from treasurecoast Miata and they were two different colors. I scuffed them up with a 3M (green) pad and shot them with primer (rattle can, oh god) I'll scuff them again tonight and 1st color coat them (silver). Second coat tomorrow, then clear.

Will attach photos of before and after.

    Great topic!

I really like the wheels WASABI! They look great! I have never really been a fan of stock daisies, but WOW!

Thanks. They have held up pretty good as well. Like I said I am running them on my BRG for now.

14" tires are a little less expensive, lighter, because you can find daisy's cheep all day, they make a good track wheel. Saves your money for for better things.
