I was having an odd issue with posting pics but it seems to be alright now but I can finally share the pics of the wheels on in all there 90s glory.

Still waiting on the lugs to get here so I can put on the center caps, I decided to go with these recommended by a fellow MS01R wheel owner:

I had a feeling someone would ask haha.

It is my dads 1973 Datsun 510 he has owned it for the past 33 years and believe it or not he has a 1969 Datsun Roadster he is restoring and a 1972 510 with a cage, molded flares and a seam welded chassis that he bought in 1993 that has only 1100 miles on it. it has been a shell since 1993 but my dad is starting to pullout all his old Nismo and Nissan OEM parts that he has colected over the years and he is finnally starting to put it together and the motor for it is something special.

in the mid 90s Nissan dealers had access to everything nismo related for the 510 so my dad bought EVERYTHING for the engine from Nismo. it was originally a L20B but is now a L22 with 13.1 compression, has nismo's SCCA spec cam that they did for the GT4 SCCA class from the 90s, has massive intake and exhaust valves and Nismos full titanium valve train revs to 9000 with ease and is limited to a 9K revlimit by an MSD. My favorite part are the carburetors theyre 50MM Mikunis attached to a near impossible to find Nismo manifold.

The motor sadly has never been in the track prepped chassis before but it has been in the white 510. That white 510 all through high school (or when i could drive) was my daily up until my NB2. the best part was it had that Nismo built motor, people found it hilarious that my car is thumping as I pull up but little did they know it is a 225WHP Single cam motor from the 70s.

I will definitely take some pics of everything but the motor is berried in the garage waiting for its new home.

So last weekend I did a full overhaul on the B-Specs cooling system. But to create suspense I am posting parts first and pics of everything done next week because I forgot to take pics haha.

So decided to go with the KOYO. I wanted to keep this car regionally correct, could have gone mishi but just wouldn't look right. I have used KOYO in the past on my NB and I loved it.

    2E692547-7565-4DDA-8FC1-DF1E4EF0CC27.jpg

Next up are the hoses for the heater core and Radiator hoses. Thanks to SpiritRoad on IG he helped me get all the Maruha items at a very reasonable price so I decided to go all Maruha.
The hoses are great quality and compared to the hoses that were on my car this was needed a lot more than I realized the old heater hoses felt like hard lines lol.

    3189BD8C-C2A9-4C52-8188-37FCF4F0884B.jpg

Next up is the SS Coolant pipe to replace the old one that is known to corrode away over time. Truly a top quality piece, the welds and grade of SS used were incredible.

    18FAD7EC-999C-4E65-A829-D3C5FD67CD0C.jpg

Also went with the Maruha sandwich plate and Maruha Thermostat 78*. On my old setup it had a coolant temp sensor adapter in my coolant hose which worked great but looked messy. Now the temp wire is hidden and looks much cleaner!

And thats the recent haul I will post installed pics Monday! I was very pleased with the results coolant temps after an hour drive are lower by 4-5* which is a plus!

    Good Job Marco! looks great!

I got a noob question though, the coolant temp sensor plate.. I assume that it's for an aftermarket coolant temp sensor.. but what is wrong with the oem sensors?

I've been looking into a few things with my car, and hoping to leverage off the existing sensors, instead of new ones (1. keeps costs down, 2. less wires).

    Thank you very much!!

Well the temp sensor hooked up to the Maruha plate is actually for an Blitz temp gauge that is sitting on my dash. So technically I have 2 coolant temp senors, the Blitz and the OEM Gauge in the cluster.
I have heard the OEM temp gauge isn't a true temperature reading so its wise to have a aftermarket gauge especially if it has forced induction and if you take it to track events. I know the Blitz works very well because if I sit in traffic it will go up very very little but once you get back on the road it'll go back down. The stock gauge wont show you that.

It would be a wise gauge to have just to see how your car is operating plus if you set up your gauges right they can look fantastic and very clean. I personally am a sucker for gauges so I will be biased towards them but they display crucial info during hard driving.

    Update!

I have Good news and Great news!

The Good news is I have finally replaced my front a rear sway bar bushings with some fresh OEM rubber. An aftermarket option was an idea but I am trying to keep it as OEM as can be. I did want to repaint the bars but I am going to be back under the car do the end links sometime soon and when I do thats when they will be refreshed.

    1AFCF912-D520-47F6-A45B-D8E8F3D5413B.jpg

The Great news is I am happy to say that the 5XRacing lugs worked perfectly. I now have the MS01Rs looking perfect in there weathered and unrestored state. (Which I have grown to really enjoy)

Enjoy a few pics of the Roadster in all its glory.

    Hello All,

So it is about time i post this update. Due to Covid I was waiting for my Mazda Genuine RHD wiper arms from Japan for the better part of 4 months. Thankfully everything arrived nicely.

it includes the 2 arms, 2 blades, and 2 caps. Now its time to see some neglect.

I know it takes a good hour to get done but I never sanded and painted my original arms and they just got rusty to the point of no return so I had to get new ones. Thats the life of living in Florida, nothing stays dry.
    62F7029B-7768-45D9-8188-2A0F46D6F141.jpg

But the new arms look fantastic. so so clean and satisfying to look at.
    20CB46B8-8053-448F-97D9-BB1B4D4E667D.jpg
I know paint looks yuck but its been very dusty in my neighborhood. The cars ceramic coated so it literally washes off without even touching it.

    EFE7DB9A-B1DF-42C8-BC49-242CECD38EAE.jpg
So I gave both Roadsters a very well deserved wash and used Meguiars Ceramic spray to keep there slick paint nice and clean.
