    Wanted: Unobtainium - M2 1028 trunk lid.

Well, I'm going over-budget on basically every aspect of my upcoming build, so I might as well ask.

I'm looking for a real-deal trunk, as I'd like to retain the 3rd brake light and keep it as subtle as possible.

No Autokonexion (sp?) trunks, please. I might consider a Murakami, if the price were right (because I really want that 3rd brake light).

    M2 1028 Trunk.jpg

Leads on people that may have one stashed also appreciated. I know there are a few around, I already asked Bruce if he'd part with his to no avail.

    Thanks, -Matt

I bid you luck on your quest for an M2 trunk. I dig the dealer plate though.

The 1028 Aluminum trunk Lids generally sell for about $1100 to $1900 in Japan, the Murakumi FRP Trunk is an exact clone of the original for a 1/4 of the price and is exceptional quality.

Great, something else I didn’t know I needed. Exactly what all is going in to your build Matt?

Willis, I know your car... it's been an inspiration for me for a while. Is it 1990-1991 Crystal white, or the later Chaste? The car I'm working with is a 1991. Is it possible to install a 3rd brake light without major work?

I just erased a paragraph about my M2 pieces... I'll wait and share details when I get a build thread underway.

    Thanks, -Matt

Found an old photo of mine, from when I sold it to Hyper on here. I sold mine for the very same reason, no 3rd brake light.

Does yours have the brake light, Randy?

28,800JPY = $250-some-odd-USD. I can't read Japanese and there's no picture of one with the brake light...

I added my third (fourth) light to my roll bar. Suddenly suv's could see me. Matt, this post has me thinking about adding some M2 bling to mine.
