Replacement Top Questions: Defrost Wiring, Pricing, B-Pillar Retainers
Despite the 11K low, low miles on my 1991, the rear window is browned plastic, likely exacerbated by the hard top staying on the car.
Rather than replacing just the window, I'm going to swap the top to a new canvas Robbins with a zippered glass rear window. But before I order one, I have just a couple questions for the experts:
1.) Any confirmation whether or not my B-package 1991 with LNC would have had factory defrost wiring in place without the switch (the hardtop is OE and doesn't have defrost)? What I don't want is to be unable to use the heater or A/C with the top down, which I've read is a possibility depending on the year and the wiring.
2.) Best place to buy a Robbins? The 2965C ST BKB model I'm looking at is $708 at Moss. Any good Moss discounts or other place to buy?
3.) Robbins talks about B-Pillar Retainers on their site, and I guess they're available from Mazda if my car doesn't have them. Anyone have a good picture of what to look for in the car to identify whether it has them? I'd order them so the shop has them for install along with the top if need-be.

Moss has sales often. If you are on their email list, they send out specials from time to time. Given your location, Moss *may* be your best bet on Robbins-specific items. I know they have a warehouse in the NE and west coast. R*speed is another I would check, Goodwin Racing too
