I remember reading about electronically controlled valvetrains in the late 80s or early 90s. I think I read it in Ward’s or an engineering magazine. Alpha or Fiat used piezoelectronic valves, IIRC. This was when VTEC was an amazing technology so this was like the next jump. I’m fucking old.
