Project Car Magazine, Issue No# 3

Thought I would post this here. About 4-5 years ago I picked up the first issue of project car magazine while wandering a local bookstore. There was a pretty decent miata build in it, and I had planned on keeping the magazine around as part of my plan: selling my BMW, going back to school, graduating, eventually landing a job, and rewarding myself with a miata. Well, sure enough, after moving 3 times the copy has gone MIA.

I've checked several boards, keep an eye out on Ebay, and emailed the magazine itself (8 or 9 times.) Still. . . I can't find a copy.

I'm looking to either buy a copy or have someone email me a scanned copy of the miata article. I'll probably be bumping this thread for the next 10 years......

Im pretty sure I have that same issue, I only bought it because it had a white Miata on the cover, and at that time I happened to own a white Miata.

I'm not sure where I have the magazine but im sure I do in fact have it as I tend to collect anything Miata related. I will try to locate it this weekend and if I do find it I will scan it and post it up for you.

Lol my friend owns that exact miata. I had parted some of it when it go in to our hands. IIRC it was a 2 part article. The 2nd issue is when they turbo-ed it.

I went through about 80% of my stuff and did not find it. But I have 2 more places to check. I remember buying it at the grocery store, so its here somewhere.

While looking for that magazine I started looking at all of my old Mazda advertisements I had in cheap frames hanging on the wall in the garage. They look like they are browning on the edges and and tiny bugs have been eating away at them. So this weekend I started taking all those down and scanning them onto my computer so I can post a thread with all of those. Stay tuned !!!

Just wondering if this has ever been tracked down... And, this was the article, although its not turbo'd. FWIW, the latest issue has a full spread on swapping out a 1.6L for a 1.8.

I could not find it. There is still a box of magazines I have to go through in the garage, just have to find that box, LOL. I have a lot of stuff still in boxes from when I moved. Still have not found my AWD Carbon Fiber Vent rings plate, I put it inside a Miata book so that it would not get lost in the move, but I don't know what book I put it in now.

This was a really good technical issue for guys just getting into Miatas. You can still check them out online at http://www/ProjectCarMag.com

and also check out their Facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/ProjectCar

maybe we can get them to run some more articles on Miatas!
