1.8 tranny swap into 92 na 1.6?
Id like to hear some thoughts if its possible to swap a 1.8 tranny going into a 92 1.6 NA
will fit?

Yes it can be done as this was done to my 91 by a previous owner. Can't help with the process but like the poster about said, a Google search should throw out the procedures !

Yes. Direct swap. You either have to use the 1.6 flywheel and clutch you already have (presumably) or the 1.8 flywheel and clutch.

The 1.8 only has one difference I'm aware of, slight stronger 2nd gear synchro. Everything else is identical.

Stalled - Fire it up!
^^^ (Talking standard 5speeds) Plus all transmissions that came with 1.8 cars should have the 5th/reverse shift rod with deeper detents in it... making a 1.8 liter transmission not as likely to get stuck in reverse as the early 90/91's were. (been there and done that crap!)
Changing to the 1.8 sized diff (which I finally did after breaking two 1.6 wimpy diff's) is a little more involved... you need the matching driveshaft and axles... but that's not a big problem since so many were made.
(I think this is right... and since I just said it on the internet... it is!!!!)
