It's the f/2.8-4, my bad.

I love my 35mm f/1.8, but I've been occasionally wanting something wider (think 10-22) or tighter (85mm f/1.8 comes to mind). It's handy for most things, but when it's not the right tool, it's just not.

These few were taken at a local photography club's "Photography in a Box" night. They basically had a box at each table and they contained different random objects. It forces you to think outside of your normal style, which I don't really have yet.

I like this one, but the gold spec on the left is way too distracting. I didn't notice it until after I got home from that night.

Shortly after the Photography in a Box night my family went on vacation up north. I took this picture one night on the crowded little boat launch area.

Then I read about light painting and thought I'd try that out.

Like I said please critique these as I want to learn from more experienced guys.

Nothing too special (just my 70-300mm ƒ4.5 kit lens), and a few weeks old at that, but sharing a few photos from the November IMSA Daytona test days. I initially didn’t think to post them up here since the mazda didn’t attend this session.

They're a little flat color-wise, but your pan work is pretty good!
