Pull engine/tranny together, separate, remove fly and clutch, put engine on stand, remove and clean pan, replace seal, maybe install new clutch. Button up, reinstall, burp, done.

If this is too much, say so and I'll leave the Valdez for my NC/ATL homies.

I would tremendously appreciate any help! I know it's a big job, but with help, we can get this done and it would be a huge relief for us!

I ordered a clutch and flywheel today. If someone helping me has a 1.6, I will give you my 8# Fidanza flywheel!

Ended up just red loctiting them in place for now. Lol.

HUGE thanks to Rob, Dustin, Emmi, Paul, Jesse, and Sean.

Worked on Tina's NB at Rob's. Outer tierods, lower ball joints, upper boots. Tracked down a rattle the car has had since we bought it to an untensioned idelr pulley on the timing belt. Tensioned it and buttoned up the car.

All seemed great and I started the long drive home about 11:45 pm. I get on the 605 and the car dies suddenly. Pulled it over and made a call.

Rob, Dustin and Sean came to my location. I have roadside, but I couldn't find the number. Rob used his service and had my car towed back to his place. We diagnosed the timing belt jumped A LOT. Everyone dove in and tore apart the front of the car, re aligned the belt and buttoned it up. We left Rob's about 3am. Rob sounded like he was about to lose his voice.

I am so grateful for friends like you guys! It makes me realize what I mean to KINOD and how I am going to miss you.

The car was fine. The CEL came on about the same place on the 605 where it died. The idle was REALLY bad, but it drove fine. I got home at 4am and did some internet troubleshooting until I passed out around 4:30.

I figured it was a clogged intake. Tom had a few over at his house today and I took apart the manifold to clean it. I used his bluetooth OBD2 scanned and cellphone app to get the codes for the CEL (AWESOME device!), it was telling me I was running lean and the second O2 sensor wasn't registering. As i was buttoning up the manifold, I found I forgot to plug in the 2nd o2 sensor last night!

Cleared the codes, manifold is nice and clean, new steering parts, corrected timing belt...yup, I think Tina's 10ae is ready to drive cross-country! Tina says she owes you all a hug...
