Paint issues? Having purchased my BRG used, I have some paint issues that I am looking to fix with a respray. My biggest issue is peeling/burned clear coat on a few of the body panels. I know that BRG didn't come with clear coat, but I wonder how many of you have a similar problem? Did anyone repaint their BRG and USE a 2 stage paint with clear coat?

Yes and yes. Mine had clear for some reason, but it never peeled. I've repainted everything but the doors/a pillar with base/clear

Mine is fading, it is most noticeable on the front bumper. When I removed my carpeting to install my rollbar, I couldn't believe how deep the green was compared to the exposed exterior. I have a love-hate relationship with the summer because paint fade is always in the back of my mind on a sunny day. When it gets repainted, a clear is a must.

Thank you Jim! I'm really glad I bought these wheels and apparently a lot of people like the way they look on the BRG.

Usky, Tell me more about those wheels. I have never seen them before...Panasport? Also, how many miles on your car? How's the interior? Looks clean.

    Hi Jim !

the wheels are MAS 7 x 15. They were in the original accessories listed by MAZDA Germany in 90/91. (I know cause I got the original brochure)
As far as i know they are even in germany not often to buy. MAS was an german manifacturer.

The car was still original as I bought it last year. But first thing I must do, was changing the steering wheel in NARDI classico. In my opinion a must have for roadster-style.
Then I've changed the brake and shift knob for wooden NARDI (from NB Model) and tan boots. At least I've changed the soft-top for a tan coloured some weeks ago.
It had 132.000 kilometers on the clock as I bought it. Now it will take the 150.000 in a few days.

    Here's a snapshot from inside:

I have never seen the wheels before. Pretty cool that they came from Mazda. Thanks for the info!

The Nardi wheel, a MUST have for the BRGs.

I like your armrest and the black coloured spokes of your wheel are fitting better in colour.
    I haven't found a black spoke NARDI
