Power loss at around 3k RPMs

    Hey,
Recently I've had what seems like a quick loss in power at around 3k. It stops after that and continues on with the usual powerband. Example : In second gear at about 1.5k, floor the throttle, RPMs steadily rise up to 3k, then it's as if I tap the brakes a bit with my foot on the gas (I jerk forward just a little bit when it happens) but then it continues to rise steadily again. This happens in all gears. I'm thinking it's either a vacuum leak or possibly a fuel problem. Any suggestions on how I can further diagnose the problem?

Hmmm. That's really weird. I don't know a lot, but it would seem to me to be some sort of management problem. Do you still have the car's stock engine management? Maybe you could try to pop in a another ecu and see what that yields.

Maybe MAF? But I would know why it would only happen at certain rpms.

Still have stock ECU. I was gonna check the intake clamps today and make sure the MAF is all good to go.
