2,000 rpm - light wheelspin, no bog here!
Clear timing belt cover......
So part of my build includes running a 323 GTX valve cover and a protege front plastic timing belt/cam gear cover. I have seen in the past on Supras, 4ag toyota engines, Evo's and skylines where the timing belt/cam gear covers have been made by an aftermarket company out of clear plastic. I always liked the look and was wondering if anyone knew if such a part existed for the protege market that we could use on our miatas.

Those cam covers are cool looking, however I've never seen a BP motor that had one on it. Not sure if any companies make them for our motors. You should try to find out! A yellow valve cover with the clear cam shield would look sweeeet.

That was more for the car shows from what I recall. Otherwise you get all that belt dust that would have you cleaning the inside constantly.
Im pretty sure nobody makes them for the Miata. Only covers I have seen are the Carbon Fiber versions.

4,000 rpm - entering the fun zone
I remember top secret made a clear valve cover for a supra... sucks I can't find a decent picture of it..
They should make one for the bp! haha

Thought I'd dig this up as every year someone seems to mention a clear cam fascia. IIRC years ago there was a company that did some in glass ??? might have been Top Secret.
Anyway, if there's anyone in the plastic's trade, time to see about making some up.
