John, go sit in them. There are should be a Herman Miller rep near you. Surprised about the Human Scale, they are usually very good. Contract office seating is expensive, but built to much higher standards of comfort and quality than what you get in big box stores.

Might find a nice selection to sample at Design Within Reach.

Removed the rear seat mounts, or humps, from the floor. It dropped the rear of the seat about 35mm or more. I think I could lower it more with modified NA OE rails.

Drivers seat is lowered, the passenger seat is untouched.

So with the removal of the hump, where does the seat bracket mount to back there?

^ this. My knees usually squeeze between the steering wheel and the center console. Did you gain also leg space?

Drilled the floor, using hardened bolts and 75mm x 3mm Th washers under the car. There is a little more knee room. The seat position is the same, just lower in the back.

Is it possible to do this to the fronts as well?

It is, but keep in mind the front runs the lateral width of the compartment (sill to trans tunnel). If I removed that, I would weld in a structural mount to the floor. Blackbird Fabworx shows how they do it.

I sat in an NA that had something similar to that, Lotus seats mounted to the floor with the OE mounts removed, the space was a-maaaaaazing. Where I usually have the seat all the way back, on that car had to move the seat forward a bit.

Festivus came for me before the rest of us. My wife gave me a Blackbird Fabworx extinguisher and quick release mount. 2.5# halon bottle. I have plans to reinstall the 5# fire suppression system in a new location and reroute the lines. This bottle will help save the car if a fire should happen on the outside, other than at my feet or in the engine bay.

Figure out if I can fit the fire suppression bottle to the dash crash bar by gutting the glovebox. (concealed)

    Corner balance the car.

    Replace clutch master.

Replace M2HDHCDD rollbar with a hardtop version ( for more room)

    Brake maintenance

    Body work, rear passenger rocker.

Reinstall MSPnP, VTPS throttle, COPs, WBO2.

    Notch/modify tunnel on driver's side.

Modify floor to sit lower (R/R front seat mount structure).

    Find nagging oil leak, repair.

    New door cards with pockets.

    New speakers.

    Relocate amp.

    Replace 4.1 Torsen with a 4.3 unit.

    Fix/check HVAC flapper door.

    Price out a new windshield.

    Research tablet integration.

    Refit/adjust front bumper.

Price out PDR on passenger side.

Engine is at 3000 miles now. Tested the compression twice.

200-205 psi across the cylinders, warm, all plugs removed, unplugged spark and fuel, WOT.

    Those are very good numbers.

    Thanks.

I may have solved the oil leak coming from the dip stick tube; a pinched PCV tube. I broke the original one and was using reinforced clear tubing to monitor blowby. That tube was pinching off and closing. I had a new one on the shelf and installed it. I drove it for a bit, didn't smell oil. . I will continue to monitor it.

I'm going to have to remove my rear mounts to fit my seat and pass the broomstick test with a helmet on. I also debated just removing a few inches from my torso somewhere! I'm running out of time for the next track day! Any tips on removing the rear mounts?
