Anyone know anything about tire sizes?

    Hello all,

I might be the only person on here with 13x8 ET0 wheels on his Miata.

I'm looking for non-race treadwear tires. The only sizes I find in 205/50R13 or the like are RA1, R1R, R888, and other track-biased tire choices.

The car currently has Sumitomo HTR200 tires, but I`ve been told these are no longer being made. I've contacted tire-rack and some others to no avail.

Hopefully someone on here might know, if not, I'll have to sell the wheels to some track nut who enjoys the quicker acceleration that 13'' wheels bring a Miata.

A quick search on tirerack showed non-race treadwear in the following sizes: 165/65-13.0, 165/70-13.0, 175/70-13.0, 185/70-13.0.
Probably not what your looking for but better then nothing. You can check how close to stock the over all diameter is here: http://www.flyinmiata.com/tech/gearing.php

Any of those sizes will look odd on an 8'' wide rim. I do not own a vw and do not want to stretch my tires.

And AFAIK The Sumitomo HTR200 are no longer being made.

Some places might still have stock of them? Peter Lloyd Rallying in the UK was clearing out these sorts of sizes a few weeks back as someone on one of the UK forums had some... if they have 4 left and if they were on sale it might offset the mad shipping costs you'd incur!! Can't see much else in these sizes apart from Track day tyres, other guys in the UK seem to run stretched tyres.
